Went shopping quite early but ourselves each an
umbrella and bag in Iris got a pair of shoes and silk stockings. Return to
the "Belgravia" for lunch. Left 3 PM for Dover. We got on the steamer at Dover
for Ostend. Had quite a fair crossing but rather cold when the sun was in. At Ostend we got on the train for Brussels where we had dinner as soon as the
train started. At 10:20 we arrived at Brussels and went to stay at the Palace
Hotel there for the night. Saw a little of Brussels by night when we had settled in the hotel. Had lovely rooms with bathrooms attached. Luxury! The hotel is a lovely one too.
