21 Monday (142- 224)
I received a letter from Cecil by the 11 o'clock
post and it was a screaming letter in parts. We got up early this morning and
took Nora back to school; we were in good time. I have arranged for Eunice to
come out this Sunday and said I'd fetch her at 10 AM sharp. Did some
shopping.
In the afternoon we went to the "Westover" to see "Crazy Maisy"
and "Fools of Fortune" The first was decidedly the best and most amusing. We had
a very long program, lasting from 2:30 to 6 PM and a very varied one too. After
the show we went to the "Golden Gate" for tea. It wasn't up to much but still, it
was about the only tea place open as late as 630. We didn't get home until well
after 7:30 PM
