13 Wednesday (165-201)
This morning daddy and Mrs. Nash went out shopping
and I went out later to buy tea and fruit etc. I only could get an hour of
shorthand this morning. I wrote to mummy and enclosed her draft and also wrote a
note to Nora. We went to Christchurch this afternoon and looked over the priory.
We had tea at an old tea house which we went to in 1924 but it has changed
altogether and the prices were shocking!!
We went to the Hippodrome to see "Lord
Parker" it was screamingly funny and we all roared with laughter most of the
evening. Charles Austin was a very good comedian. It was pouring with rain when
we got out and we had to wait a long time for the Southbourne tram.
