The others went shopping in Matlock. Went by bus to Matlock Bath. Hired a motorboat for 15 min and went up the River Derwent. They also enquired about train times.

Daddy, Iris and self, went to town.Box wax for Mrs Payton. Next we walked to Mat. Bath and went inside Cumberland Cavern. Very interesting. It was inhabited by Romans. The guide gave us some flour spa.
Hurried back. Went by 2:15 train-Bakewell. Saw the Bank House School and Bakewell Church. After that we had tea in "Ye Olde Bakewell Puddin' Shoppe"
We had the famous Bakewell Tarts. We got back at about 7 p.m. After supper Flo, Iris and self sang and had quite a concert among ourselves.N. H.
