Bank Holiday
Today was a very full day for us. We
went to add in the hole this morning and found it disappointing. They charged us
about a pound before we knew where we were. It was 3/6 entrance.
After tea,
Nora and I had a single on the hard courts and later on we had a set with two
other ladies.
Tonight we attended the large dance held here. We had a fine
Orchestra playing for us so it helped and making our dance enjoyable. We had two
"Paul Jones" and also a dance where the ladies had to ask the gentleman being
leap year.
We danced every dance until 1 o'clock. We had refreshments at 11
o'clock. Daddy played bridge while we were at the dance. We thoroughly enjoyed
ourselves and we're dead tired when we got to bed. The Houfes went back to Hull
this morning.
