We went shopping at the Magasin du
Louvre and we're disappointed. It had gone down since 1924. Iris bought a dark
blue Crepe de Chine frock and I bought two, one pale blue, the other a queer
shade of pink.
Next we went to Galleries Lafayette and bought some powder and
a handbag for mummy. We had lunch at the hotel. After that we went to see the
famous Art Galleries du Louvre. The paintings were wonderful and needed at least
a fortnight to impress one. We had tea in an open air café (on the pavement) We
had coffee and strawberry ices and a little fruit cakes. It was fun!
