Ember Day Whit Sunday Fire Insurance ceases
I stayed
in all day today doing various things. First I did some washing and I mended a
few pairs of stockings. In the afternoon I did about two hours of shorthand.
Daddy, Mrs. Nash and the kids went down on the beach for tea and I had tea with the
amah.
After dinner we three went for a walk along the Cliffs and back through
Fishermans walk, where we listen to the band for a few minutes. Daddy wrote to
Jersey about accommodation at one of the hotels there. He goes to Jersey this
Monday if all is well. I hope to hear about the steamer tomorrow.
