8 Tuesday ( 129-237)
After breakfast I started my first shorthand lesson I had two hours of it from
10 to 12 so I have got the beginning of the subject now. After tiffin I made a
small fruit cake and left daddy to take care of it when Mrs. Nash when Mrs. Nash and I went to the hairdresser.
We
missed the appointment so we went and had tea at Bobby's and after tea we went
and had our photos taken by "Photomaton", the eight different positions of us
were taken in 20 seconds and printed in eight minutes. It was quite fun and
worth the 1/ in the slot for the experience of this new invention. We had dinner
at 7:45 and rushed off to the Palladium to see the film "The Gay Retreat".
It
was a very funny picture indeed. Well we certainly have had a busy day today and
haven't idled much.
