The first thing we did this morning was to go to Randall's. Iris bought a pair of gray shoes. Then we took a "Red" Midlands bus and went Kenilsworth. From there we walk to the castle. On the way we had to cross a ford. It was fun! We paid 6d entrance fee and 2 /- for a guide. We saw the ruins of the castle but there was one part restored in which there were occupants.

| Kenilsworth Castle |
There were three distinct types of architecture; Norman, Gothic and Tudor. The castle belonged to Lord Leicester, Elizabeth's favorite. Then we returned to our hotel. After tiffin we went by tram to Warwick and walked to Guy's Cliffe. Guy lived there as a hermit. We saw his cell and also an old Chapel built on rock. There was a figure of the giant Guy. We also visited stables, hewn out of the rock. Then we returned. We had tea at the "Pump Rooms. Then we went to Stratford and saw "Hamlet" it was wonderful he acted. Arrived back at 12 pm
