18 Wednesday (200-166)
Went early this morning to fetch Inez out for the
day. I arrived at St. George's in time to wish Nora a happy birthday before
school. At 11 o'clock the Charabanc came to take us to Winchester. There were
only three others in the car besides us, so it was rather a dull trip on the
whole. We had tiffin at Dumper's Café at Winchester, the same place where we at
tiffin in 1924. Went over the Cathedral. At Ramsey we went over the Abbey and had an ice at "Dumpers Café" there also. We had tea at Lyndhurst and then came
home. Inez stayed for dinner and daddy and Belle took her back home afterwards.
I went to bed early.
