Nora practiced gym on the bottom court from 730 to 8
AM. We went to painting. Mrs. Nash came out for us at 11 AM. We went downtown
and met a friend of Mrs. Nash named Mrs. Wright. Then we went to Bobby's and had
a vanilla ice. Iris had a bun and Nora a chocolate eclair.
We had a beef
steak, brussel sprouts and potatoes for dinner and tapioca and cherries for
pudding. We finished off with oranges and apples. After dinner we went for a
walk along the lanes. Some of the fields were flooded near Christchurch. We had our tea by the fire. We had meringues, castle cakes, chocolate biscuits and other
cakes. After tea we talked and played with Mary. We had a glorious time. When we
came back we had a letter from Daddy, number 83 and a packet of papers. Nora had
a typed letter from Dolly. We revised after supper.
