We got up at 8:5 AM! Later than usual and had
breakfast at 8:30. We have no letters by the first post! We read during the
morning and also went for a walk along the beach and when we came back there was
a letter from Daddy awaiting us!! It contained glorious news!! All about our travels
this holidays! We are going to Switzerland, the Italian lakes, Venice etc. and
back to London via Paris. We have looked up the route on the map and are
overflowing with joy!!! What thrills! Three cheers for Daddy! Hip hip hooray!
Unfortunately Iris retired to bed about 5 PM and so I had to miss the 5B Downs.
The dance was lovely! We had supper in the dining room. The dance started at 6 PM and
ended at 9:30 PM. The silence bell went at 11 PM.
